This one is for all those who criticised Ferrari
He's finally proved himself to be worthy of being a world champion. And he really did show them! With the multiple-time, and legen...wait for it...outstanding, amazing, stunning, the best ever, dary Schumacher, the hated but mildly deserving two time champion Uglonso - pardon me...Alonse, and one tear wonders Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton all on the same track...Vettel really did deserve to go BOOYA!
It was a horrid race for me. I dislike Alonso but then unfortunately my heart would not allow me to root against a man in scarlet overalls. So there I was hoping by some miracle Massa would win the race and Alonso would do just enough to win the championship and could sit back and say...Ah bless Massa. But NO...what happened was absolute and EPIC FAIL.
The race just went away from Ferrari and why say Vettel was lucky? Of course not! He deserved every bit of his hard fought victory. But now I say to those cheeky and highly hypocritical bastards...where are your eternally Ferrari bashing tongues now?
Massa lets Alonso go past freely...yes against rules...team orders blah blah. SHUT UP! Why is no one saying anything about how the Renault's held Alonso up? Noting at all from them now eh? So it's ridiculous for a team mate to let his own go past but a completely different team and for all practical purposed, all out rival, to completely block a potential championship deciding manoeuvre is A-OK! What a load of self righteous idiots who know only to hate Ferrari and be all hating of anything that is Scarlet, Alonso and a Prancing Horse!
Day 14: A song that no one would expect me to love
But I do absolutely love it. It's so catchy and well keeps good time in the gym!
There are a few dvd rips on you tube but this one's sound quality is best so bear with the random pictures.

Day 13: A song that is a guilty pleasure
It was once mildly embarrassing that I liked this song but then on an all girl back packing trip...I teamed up with Kripa Jaising...a really close friend of mine and we made it seem like the coolest thing on Earth. Dancing to this song was sexy and we brought sexy back.
No the song is not Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back...that is hardly a "guilty pleasure"!
This one on the other hand...it sure is!
Over and out!

Day 12: a song from a band you hate
For me, it too nasal, whiney and massively repetitive. And it is an absolute bore. It’s still funny to listen to people sing it at karaoke but doesn’t mean its any better!
Enough said…or else I’ll get really nasty :P
If you like it then go on and have a listen. I will too. So I can mock it! :)

Footy again! SCORE!!
After a wait of er...ok ok not too long because we had the World Cup, footy is back! Some how life seems that much better when the season kicks off.
I'm massively jittery about my first team though. CHELSEA! Ah my Chelsea! What are we going to do without Joe Cole and Michael Ballack? To be honest...what is the worry? They didn't do an awful lot last season either then did they. I agree they helped a little bit but most of the hard work was done by Lamps and Droggage. And the other Cole and Terry did a whole lot despite their off pitch ventures!
So mostly I am worried about the collapse of the team in general rather than of just a few players. Our key players appear to be more interested it extra marital affairs and some only care about the money. My fear is that there is an alarming lack of sincerity towards football. There seems to be so much emphasis on how much who gets paid. And the funny thing is they don't even deserve how much they get.
A friend of mine once said, pay them according to the performace. And I think there has never been a better suggestion. Then I bet the world will get to see more world class football. It's no wonder that the English lads came back so soon from South Africa, with tails between their legs.
That said, I'm still massively excited. There is something about football season that makes me happy. In fact all sports make me happy. There is such a wave of emotion when the smallest of things happen. It's like watching a reality show...only better.
Which brings me to my second team but by not too much. I do love them too. But not that I love Town less but I love Chelsea more.
Ever since Roy Keane has come wandering into Ipswich...the club has gone that much more public. But the joy of watching a game at Portman Road is exquisite.
Especially when Counago has the ball. Oh it's magic I tell you. And this time arch and ugly rivals Norwich are back in the league. Damned fools! I really do hope that it's a good season for Town. They deserve it :) What with all the hard work that little kid, Jamie Peters puts in. Win a medal for effort he should!
And all of this begins soon...oh so soon... Saturday infact! By which time hopefully Norwich would have lost their first game on friday! :)
Day 11: A song from my favourite band
So I pick
I think this song is legendary! And when I put this video up I realised that the 'vulgar' inappropriate words have been beeped out!
Haha! Everybody has a beep-dealer on speed dial. I like how drug has been beeped out but it's alright to have "Gonna date a centerfold that loves to
Blow my money for me"
Wow that makes it so much funnier! It's got a good tune and it's got good lyrics. More importantly though...it says so much about the industry. Nickelback are pretty good but really...almost anyone can be a rock star now! With the rubbish song on the charts. Paris Hilton for crying out loud! BAH!! It makes me angry but then again it also makes me want to be a rock star. And why not yea? Why would I not want to live in hilltop houses and drive 15 cars. That would be sweet!
Anyway, I do love this song. And it makes me smile because for the longest time I sang zoozoo instead of Whose who. No matter. I'll also be a rock-star one day and no one will care!

Day 10 (or perhaps 45!) : A song that makes me fall asleep
I must also admit that the song makes me cry sometimes because it’s so sweet. And I for one can’t wait to sing it to my little girl someday. Oh such simple, poignant lyrics…they seem so much more real and touching than all those rappy rhymey ones.
“One day you're going to want to go
I hope we taught you everything you need to know
Gracie girl…my little girl.”
That is the most adorable and sweet thing a parent can say in my opinion. And luckily my parents are exactly the same with me. I think that is also the reason I like it so much.
This is not the original video but it is the original song. So enjoy it while I tuck myself into bed and dream about my little Gracies!
PS – Thanks to Nick Flegg for introducing me to this song and for learning to play it on the piano for me! X

Day 09: A song I can dance to
It's not the original but hey the KING is the KING
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
Day 08: A song you know all the words to
So after much thinking...
That is what I picked. And not only do I know the words to it. I sometimes write my own depending on my mood!

Day 07: A song that reminds you of a certain event
But I think it would have to be Country Road. Not because it was an actual event but when the nights were cool and the days were warm and the skies were starry, Mum, Dad, my sister and my uncle and I would sit out in the garden singing songs. And that tradition began when I was about 3 and now I'm 23.
That song was the one we all knew the words backwards and forwards and it had to be sung every time we had a sing song session.
Simple times now seem so far...they used to be in my back yard!

Day 06: A song that reminds me of somewhere
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Day 05 : A song that reminds me of someone
So our mate Nick picks GOLD! Yea yea that 80's song by Spandau Ballet go have a look at it.
But here's the funny part...suddenly while Dave and I are busy cheering him on and singing along too...Nick darling decided (completely unaware) to burst into the IPSWICH TOWN FOOTBALL TEAM version of the song. So the lovely classic song turned into a footy chant. I'll out down the lyrics of what it should have been and what it was!
ORIGINAL PLAYING ON THE BIG SCREEN FOR ALL TO SEE AND SING
Gold
always believe in your soul
you've got the power to know
you're indestructible
always believe in, because you are
gold
And our lad sang this instead
Alan Lee.. goal,
Always believing,
Always believe he will score,
You got the power to know,
You're indestructible,
Always believing...
He didn't realise but the entire bar was looking puzzled while Dave and I nearly died laughing!
The next time we went he sat on the sidelines! :p
So everytime I hear this song I get a stitch afterwards from laughing too hard!
Good times! Good times!
Day 04 : A song that makes me sad
Whatever it is it makes me sad. And now writing this is making me a bit sad.
I've dug out the original version written by Wayne Cochran in 1962 and originally performed by Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders. Apparently it was about two 16 year olds on a date earlier that year and the song played out in reality. :(
It has been covered as we all know and because Pearl Jam's version is so beautiful I've put them both up.
And Pearl Jam one is at this link. It's not an original vid so didn't want to embed it.
And yea this one is a day late.

Day 03 : A song that makes me happy
Happy moment = happy me = happy song = reminds me of happy moment = happy me again
Played ProEvolution Soccer and after a long long drive and hunt for a parking spot finding one + Nick Flegg = HAPPY ME = Champions League = everytime it plays now = HAPPY ME.
I can't really find a url to the version I like so I'll sort it out soon.
DIE BESTEN!

Day 02 - My least favourite song
I can't pin point why it's my least favourite song exactly but many things factor in to my eventual decision. To begin with it is a ludicrously monotonous song and Noel Gallager's dead pan voice doesn't do much to help!
So it really gets on my nerves! I admit that it was once named the BEST SONG of ALL TIME. But I really don't get why! Well...for me anyway.
But note I do not HATE it...it's just my least favourite!
:)

Haz que tu quinta mi Rafa!
It’s not really that I dislike Federer but I like Nadal more. Ok ok…I dislike FedEx but not his game. Hence why, I am thrilled that Nadal is in the final at Roland Garros today.
I’m not a 100% he will win against Soderling but atleast he proved to the entire world that he is capable of getting to the final. And with style as well. Not dropping a set on clay to people like Hewitt is really no joke. Which brings me to my main point... Rafael Nadal is no joke.
I’ve heard several fans of Roger Federer (One of my closest friend Anisha Phillip is the one I am targeting most!) say that Nadal is an absolute joker starting from his clothes to his…er… erm…slightly - absurd - backside - involving – habit, down to his game.
Some, who say they are ‘real’ tennis fans, believe Nadal is only popular with the women because he is cute and hot. I for one don’t think he is astoundingly cute really and certainly not hot. I like him because of his drive to win. And he only is cute to the level that he says ‘no?” after almost any given sentence. He thinks “no” is a full stop…yes that is kind of cute.
But aside from all the supposed female fan following…he is popular because of tennis. No amount of fan following would bring some one to Number 1 ranking. I agree that he hovers mostly at 2 but still that is saying a lot. I also agree that Fed is better on most surfaces but lets face it…FedEx needed Soderling to do what he couldn’t. And Soderling did. So in my book…even Soderling is a better clay court player than RF. But I am mildly biased.
Anyway, Fed wins most events and the one or two that he doesn’t suddenly turn into a “Let’s mock the living daylights out of Rafael Nadal because we are angry that Federer lost”. I genuinely think that Fed fans need to give the lad some credit.
Fed lost to Soderling…so hate Soderling! But no…most facebook statuses changed to “Damn Nadal”. What? How does that happen? He was probably busy hunting for some tightish short to wear for his next game. Leave him be!
Besides, try as anyone might, the simply cannot deny that fact that he is four time champion on the clay court with a potential fifth title if he wins today (God if you are listening please let Rafa win today!) That has got to be good from any angle that it is looked at. Why Roger winning some few times at SW19 makes him the King of Grass…then why is Nadal not given the credit he is due on clay.
Bah…sore losers. Like Federer I suppose! :p
I came across this fabulous article in the NY Times about the game this evening…have a look. It’s a beautiful and unbiased analysis of the delightful players involved in the final and then some about Fed too. Nadal and Soderling, by the numbers.
Peace out and more importantly…VAMOS RAFA!
